A cheese and wine party

Soon after we arrived back home it was time to throw a party and enjoy all the goodies we brought back with us. So we hosted a cheese and wine party, well along with other foods.

One of my absolutely favorite cheeses, Queijo da Serra, from the mountains of the Northern Center part of Portugal - a very soft sheep milk cheese
This is always a favorite of my husband - Queijo da Ilha - An Azorean extra sharp cheese
Another soft and creamy cheese, Queijo do Azeitão just South of Lisbon
Cabra Payoyo - Spanish cheese from Andalucia, Spain - a  semi mature goat milk cheese that is also pretty sharp in taste
Manchego de Añejo - A sheep Manchego - perhaps the most well known cheese from Spain - sharp

Cabrales - from Asturias, Spain, this cheese is similar to a blue cheese yet much richer in taste  and spicier than any blue cheese I ever tasted
Queso Zamora Añejo - A Spanish cheese from Zamora made of sheep milk and aged to perfection. This is a sharp cheese

Selection of venison summer sausage, salpicão (a Portuguese smoked sausage) and Italian salami
Pão de Ló
Fried smelts
