Day three in Portugal
On Wednesday we went to the Praia das Maças, but again the weather is not cooperating. Strong winds make it almost unbearable to be at the beach. We found though a little area near some rocks where at least the toddler had fun playing with the sand and making a pool with it along with her castle! Back to the farm we passed by Almoçageme where we picked up grilled chickens with piri-piri and had a picnic by the pool. Then it was time for the siesta and at night time we went to our cousins house who created a feast of food for us. Amongst some of the treats were Portuguese cheeses, paté, good bread, tiny chouriços that my little toddler could not have enough of, then a meal with all types of grilled meats and black beans Brazilian type with farofa (a wood flour) on top. This makes me now want to make it once back in Wisconsin. I think people there would absolutely love it.
