Day 5 and 6 in Portugal

Little toddler made a few new friends

The last two days were pretty uneventful. Day 5 after waking up pretty late as usual we went to the beach downtown Cascais and relaxed, played in the sun, sand and ocean. At lunch we enjoyed some fried smelts. Something the little toddler absolutely loved.

At night time we went to another local restaurant—Refugio da Roca—we enjoy that has a special appetizer; squid heads that are fried in olive oil, salt, garlic and chili peppers. Now... if I could ONLY find squid heads in Milwaukee...

The next day My husband left back to the States and I am so very thankful that somehow he was not only able to get away with not paying for the extras kilos in his suitcase as well as passing customs in the States with a few nice bottles of wine and liquor. The day was cloudy and overcast so the toddler and I just spent the day at the B&B (my parent's place) and did the daily shopping with my Mother.

Oh... and another thing... we found out the toddler LOVES a nice expresso!
